Instagram has seen a lot of changes over the years and Instagram video is the most recent. As a lot of users sign up and a lot of apps are being made, there will certainly going to be more changes. What if you could use filters without having to post photo on your feed? Don’t want videos to be preloaded automatically? How to ignore all communications without blocking them off from a friend, relative or Instagram user?
Send Pictures to Selected Individuals
If you have pictures that you want to post on your feed, it can be shared with Direct to a select few. You can share pictures with around 15 people with this feature. In order to use Instagram Direct, you can select recipients by clicking the circle featured next to their names or just by typing their names.
If your friends constantly share every snapshot of their meals they take and sunset views, it will be strong urge to block them. In order to ignore Direct posts from person, you can go to tray icon at home page. Select three dots button and choose “Ignore all Posts from This User”.
Hide/Remove Tagged Pictures
Whenever you are tagged by someone in a picture, it will get you in “Photos of You” section in profile page. If you’ve found some private or embarrassing pictures you don’t like others to see, you can hide it. To hide the photo you’re tagged in, select the picture and it will show your Instagram handle. When menu shows up, choose “Hide from My Profile”. If you don’t like to be tagged in your photo, choose “Remove Me from Photo” at “More Options” button.
Use Filters without Having to Use on Instagram
You took a picture and enhanced it with one of the filters. If you don’t like to post it on your Instagram feed, you can keep it filtered with airplane mode of your phone. Once it is set on airplane mode, you may want to go through common steps to upload it. On Share page, you need to tap “Share”. It will show a “Failed” message as you cannot upload a photo without having active connection. You have to press delete to remove the photo which is not shared. If your photo is snapped without setting it to airplane mode, you have to minimize your app. Turn airplane mode on and open Instagram again to share it.
Geotag retrieves GPS data from your device and save the location of photos taken by you to give location info to each snapshot. These pictures will be seen in “Photo Map”. In order to remove pictures from your map, visit Photo Map. You need to tap “Edit” at the top right to choose what photos you want from which you want to remove geotags. Keep in mind that removing geotag is permanent. You can prefer not to add location if you don’t want any pictures to be seen in Photo Map.
